Common questions
How do I know if a contractor's quote is fair?
Compare the price with what labor and materials for the same scope cost in your area, and check that the quote spells out materials, quantities, warranty and permits. Quote Check does that research for you, then lists questions to ask before you sign.
What kinds of quotes can I check?
Any home service quote or estimate, such as roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, painting, fencing or remodeling. Upload a photo, a screenshot or a PDF.
Is Quote Check accurate?
It's an AI estimate based on public pricing information, and it shows its sources and how confident it is. It can't see your property, so treat it as a starting point. A second quote is still the best test of a price.
What happens to my quote after I upload it?
Field Looker doesn't save your file or your results. The file is sent to our AI provider to be read, and Scout researches prices using only the job details, not your name or address. You're welcome to cover personal details before uploading.
