Case study · Lawn care · Reds Lawn Care
Reds Lawn Care, owned by Dwayne Lockhart, grew from 164 to 1,321 clients in about 18 months, an 8x increase, while keeping the operation lean. Field Looker Pro replaced paper scheduling, its AI agent Scout took over daily service records, and a managed website and social program now feeds qualified leads straight into Dwayne's inbox.

The challenge
At 164 clients, Dwayne ran Reds Lawn Care off paper. Every route, reschedule and service note lived in a notebook or his head. That works for a small book of business, but it caps growth: each new client adds scheduling work, and adding crews to absorb it eats the margin.
Paper was also costing him clients. A homeowner would come back from vacation to an unmowed lawn. Or the crew had come, but the homeowner didn't realize it and assumed they hadn't. Usually that was the last straw after a few earlier misses, and the client let Reds Lawn Care go.
Dwayne needed two things at once: room to grow without becoming the bottleneck, and a client experience where small misses stopped turning into cancellations.
The solution
Field Looker Pro gave Reds Lawn Care three things: a system to run the work, an agent to handle the busywork, and a pipeline to keep new clients coming.
Scheduling moved off paper, and each client's visits now repeat automatically on a recurring schedule. Dwayne sets a client up once instead of re-booking them every week. Every crew works from the same live schedule, so Dwayne can add clients without re-planning every week by hand.
Field Looker Pro emails each client when a crew is on the way to their property, then again once the visit is done. Clients know the work happened without calling to ask, which ends the "did they even come?" moments that used to cost him clients. Dwayne says the alerts make Reds Lawn Care look more professional, and these two alerts are the main reason he has stayed with Field Looker Pro.
Crews are required to take photos at each property. Clients see that the work was done, and Dwayne can confirm the team actually showed up without driving the route himself.
Clients log in to see every service and every invoice in one place, so billing questions get answered before they become phone calls.
Crews see only the properties they're scheduled to work, not the full client list. In the past, some crew members took client lists and tried to win those clients away. Scoped access protects the business Dwayne has built.
Scout now manages Dwayne's service records. A task that took him 30 to 60 minutes every day, Scout finishes in about 3 minutes. Dwayne reviews instead of types.
The Field Looker Pro team runs Reds Lawn Care's website and social media. Leads from the website form and from QR codes on print materials land directly in his Field Looker Pro leads inbox, already qualified and ready to quote.
Invoices go out from the same system that tracks each visit, so every completed service gets billed, and Dwayne can see exactly who has paid and who hasn't. Invoices sync with QuickBooks Online, so his books stay current without double entry.
Before, money went missing because there was no reliable way to track payments. Today every payment is tracked, and the collection rate is up more than 78%.
“My clients get an email when we're on the way and another when we're done, with photos to prove it. It makes us look a lot more professional, and it's the main reason I've stayed with Field Looker Pro.”
The results
Reds Lawn Care went from 164 to 1,321+ clients in roughly 18 months. That's about 82 clients per crew at the start and over 650 per crew today.
Payments went from untracked to measured on every invoice, and the collection rate rose by more than 78%.
Of everything in the platform, Dwayne points to the on-the-way and visit-complete alerts as his number one reason for staying, because they make his lean operation look as polished as a large one. At 1,321 clients, two automatic messages per visit replace thousands of "did you come by?" calls and texts.
Scout cut daily service-record work from 30 to 60 minutes to about 3. On a five-day week, that gives Dwayne back roughly 120 to 250 hours a year to spend selling, quoting and running crews.
Website form submissions and QR scans from print go straight to his leads inbox, so marketing spend turns into quotable leads instead of voicemails.
Field Looker Pro runs your schedule, your service records and your lead pipeline, so growth doesn't mean more paperwork.
